The Role: Part-Time Social Media Manager
Contract: Part-Time / Flexible
Hours: Approximately 1 day (8 hours) per week- with the scope to increase hours.
Location: Primarily focused on Edinburgh (our main hub), with occasional travel required to Glasgow to support our expanding market.
Pay: £14 per hour (flexible, dependent on experience).
Person Specification
Self-Starter: Must be highly self-motivated and capable of working independently to meet goals and generate ideas.
Location/Mobility: Based in or near Edinburgh, with the flexibility and willingness to occasionally travel to Glasgow for content capture.
Creative & Resourceful: Proven ability to create high-quality, engaging visual content using a smartphone and/or basic camera equipment.
Platforms: Working knowledge of content creation and strategy for TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
Advertising: Knowledge or experience in setting up and managing paid online advertising campaigns is helpful but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
On-Site Content Generation:
- Proactively generate original, engaging content (Reels, TikToks, photos, and stories) by regularly visiting quiz venues across Edinburgh and Glasgow.
- Capture the atmosphere, interact with hosts, and showcase the fun of our quizzes.
- Develop a consistent and entertaining content calendar.
Platform Management & Growth:
- Spearhead the growth of our TikTok following through trend-aware and original video content.
- Maintain and develop our already strong communities on Instagram and Facebook.
- Write compelling copy for all posts that reflects the fun, enthusiastic tone of our brand.
Community Engagement: Be responsible for timely and appropriate responses to all incoming messages, comments, and inquiries across platforms.
Extra Opportunities
Summer Growth: There is significant scope for increased hours and responsibilities during the summer months to support the marketing of our successful Edinburgh Fringe show and other major events.
